A Not So Basic Track From An Up And Coming Duo

A Not So Basic Track From An Up And Coming Duo

Texas production duo, Zombie Penthouse, released a new track called ‘Basic’ that’s anything but basic. Now you guys know that I’m not the biggest fan of trap, so it takes a lot for me to dig it. I like how unique the track is; the lead sound is definitely not a Nexus preset. Instead of going the usual route of trap and producing an obnoxious tune, they added many elements to give this track a wonky feel. Zombie Penthouse came up with their name from the movie, [REC] . During a scene in which the characters were being chased by zombies, one of the characters says to go to the penthouse. The duo jokingly said that they would form a project called Zombie Penthouse, but after a few days of working together, they released an original called, “Sometimes I like To Eat Myself”. They received a lot of attention, found their own sound and have stuck with it. I’m excited to see what else these guys have up their sleeve.
