Chicago’s premier music event, Spring Awakening Music Festival, taking place June 13-15 at Soldier Field in Chicago, is the latest to implement new age restrictions. After a series of unfortunate events that have taken place over the past few years, Ultra Music Festival and Electric Zoo were among the first to set 18+ age restrictions and now, Spring Awakening Music Festival is following suit.
In an email newsletter sent out earlier regarding pre-sale tickets, SFX Entertainment, included the below note about the new 18+ age restriction:
“SAMF truly appreciates the support from our younger fans, but we believe the festival is an experience for adults. This difficult decision was made to promote safety amongst our fans and ensure the best experience from our attendees and future attendees. We encourage everyone to attend the festival when they reach the appropriate age.”
