Tiesto and Avicii Collect $50 Million From 7UP and Coca-Cola

Billboard published a recent article covering some top artists in the music community and how they’ve managed to rake in millions from soda giants such as 7UP and Coca-Cola. Two of these artist have come from the EDM community, and one of them happened to earn the most money out of any artist on the list.

In 2014, 7UP linked up with Tiesto, Insomniac and Ultra to kick off its 7x7Up initiative which included seven music festivals, seven rising DJ talents (including Danny Avila, Disco Fries, Dzeko & Torres and more) plus a few Tiesto TV appearances along with a release party for his newest album. Tiesto landed a quick $30 million for participating as the face card of this 7UP campaign.

For World AIDS Day (Dec. 1), Coca-Cola partnered up with nonprofit RED and others to premiere exclusive new tracks on Share the Sound of an AIDS-Free Generation from artists including Queen and Aloe Blacc, Wyclef Jean featuring Avicii and a remix of OneRepublic’s “I Lived.”
