After much anticipation for its official release; Vaski has finally dropped his WeightlessEP. While the funky fresh single “Qua Cha,” was revealed a couple weeks ago, it did not fully prepare me for the addictive new sound Vaski has adventured into. “Last Night,” opens up the EP on a playful note with its bubbly beat and flirtatious instrumentals. With the help from “Qua Cha” and “Hakuna Matata,” Vaski then embarks on a devious mission filled with deep basslines and perky percussion. If there were ever a harmony to hypnotize it would be found within these two tracks. To wrap up this musical journey, comes my personal favorite “Weightless” featuring Beak Nasty. This angelic production reminds me of what it would feel like to float within the notes of my favorite song. Overall Weightless is the perfect timeline of Vaski’s progression and exploration into finding his musical niche. While I love his filthy wobbles and dubstep flare, this new sound has me over the moon.
