Lately Mr. Joel Zimmerman has been getting a lot of smack from two large international corporations, Ferrari and Disney. Although separate issues, Ferrari’s cease and desist and Disney’s pending lawsuit both centre around brand recognition. Disney is likely to put up a strong fight, as they claim Zimmerman’s 10 year old brand, the infamous “mau5 head” is causing irreparable damage to their “Mickey” brand.
As for the letter from Ferrari, Joel averted crisis with the unwrapping and sale of the famed “Nyan 458 Spider”. However Nissan is to the rescue as they have offered Joel a brand new Nyan GTR. This could be a very good marketing move for Nissan as rarely a week goes by without Deadmau5 hitting the headlines. Will Joel accept, will we see this in future coffee runs?
