Australian producer Elk Road is coming out in a big way in 2014, and he continues his flood of free music with a brand new single “Losing Sleep”.
True to the Elk Road sound, “Losing Sleep” is equal parts funky and ambient, filling the space in between with a deep, crispy tuned bass. The track feels uplifting with just a hint of melancholy echoing from the vocal samples darting back and forth across the spectrum. Of all the music that Elk Road has put out this year, “Losing Sleep” might be most chill, low key masterpiece yet. It’s a perfect track to relax to, or end a jazzy set on a fresh note. Nobody else sounds quite like Elk Road, and that’s what makes the music so special.
