MitiS Makes Melodic Waves With Latest EP “Touch”

When the name MitiS comes to mind, think melodic heaven- a place you can lose yourself in the progression of piano chords, perfect harmonies,and proper plangency of drum and bass.His latest “Touch” EP due out July 8th via his own record label BORN Records is yet another journey into his melodic mind. The six track EP is best explained in feelings, but also sound as the classical touch plays on your emotions and tugs deep at your heart strings.

Opening up with “The Opening Part 2,” the listener is instantly immersed as the build generates those solid goosebumps that everyone wishes to accompany a song. Once the drop comes, electro house mayhem ensues urging everyone to get up and dance.

Next up is “Touch,” a flirty tune that is reminiscent of the feels you get on a first meeting with someone you have a crush on. This song to me is the perfect soundtrack to a date scene providing all the sounds of butterflies growing and blushing showing. The “Touch” vocal mix featuring Shana J. Munson reinforces the idea of the original, but with lyrical romanticism echoing “Just one touch and that would be enough for me….”

Jumping into the next track “Namaste, Alvida,” is like playing the next scene after “Touch.” To me this tune is the exploration that occurs after the first initial touch happens. The progression of the chorus is the chain of events that lead to the climatic reveal of musical bliss(if you catch my drift.)

“Life,” is a melodic adventure, just like it is in reality. The emphasis on the use of the piano adds that extra something that puts this tune as my second favorite on the EP.

Last, but not least MitiS wraps up the EP with “Breezes,” my favorite of the six tracks. “Breezes,” is the whole enchilada combining all the characteristics of the previous songs into one. The melody, the concept- all of it, just overwhelms my body as a whole instantly racing from my ears to my toes. It’s honestly best explained as a tingly sensation than a sound.
