Dirty Audio, the mastermind behind many of my favorite tracks including ‘Pop Mean’, ‘Drop That Ass’ and ‘Reverse’ is back at it once again with his latest EP on Dim Mak entitled ‘Lifted’. The EP features just three tracks, but all three are absolute fire. For the first track entitled ‘Bring it Back’ he teamed up again with trap OG Mr. Collipark who most of us know for being on dozens of recordss with the Ying Yang Twins, Paul Wall & other southern rappers in the early 2000s. This is your typical southern trap anthem, and the bass is more than plentiful. The next track ‘Blackout’ is one that everyone can certainly relate to. The track contains incredibly catchy lyrics from Yultron that pair perfectly with the turnt up vibe of the instrumental. This is definitely a track I foresee going off everywhere from house parties to major festivals. Finally, the concluding track entitled ‘Happy Hour’ brings the EP to a high energy climax with booming 808 drums and blaring saw synths. The vocals from Will Brennan are somewhat minimal, but they add a nice dimension to the crazy synths and drums that they are paired with.
Overall, I really dug this EP from front to back, and highly recommend you go out and grab a copy if you’re a fan of music from Dirty Audio or any similar artists such as Meaux Green, TWRK, Ookay, Kennedy Jones, RL Grime or Party Favor.
