After 3 years of writing about music, I am rarely left speechless by a song. That being said, I’ve hit the replay button on this remix 5 times in a row so far and my jaw has not left the floor. ‘Latch’ is by far my favorite song right now (yeah, i’m mainstream, sue me), but Lido’s remix might just take its place on my list of favorites. Everything about it is perfect, but what stands out to me especially is the amazing percussion samples and the vocal isolation. The organic drum fills added over a big brass band sound that slowly spills into a deep house beat that will get your head bobbing…I am honestly having trouble finding words to describe how great this is. Hats off to Lido.
