Los Angeles-based producer/DJ Wilks is back with another deep, grooving leviathan. “Shadows Light”, similar to his first offering “Ghetto“, has both ethereal sounding production and a rhythm/bass combination that will knock your socks off. But where “Ghetto” incorporated grittier sounds and an in-your-face, pitched down vocal sample of Q-Tip, “Shadows Light” is pristine, like a sonic joyride in a sports car through a deserted metropolis at 3 am. The gorgeous, flawlessly chopped vocals are also original this time, and are performed by singer/songwriter Bria Park. The whole thing just works really well together, and he’s even made it available for free download! So grab that below and jump on the quickly accelerating Wilks train, because it’s left the station!
