For those of you who haven’t been keeping up with the beef between Deadmau5 & Afrojack lately, the Mau5 is upset with some remarks Afrojack said about success in the EDM world during EDMbiz in Las Vegas over EDC weekend. The beef went to Twitter with some rants back and forth, before taking to Soundcloud when Afrojack released a tune titled “something_”, similar to the titles that Deadmau5 would use on his unfinished experimental tracks.
Well, the ball is in Deadmau5′ court and he fired back earlier this evening with a tune titled “DROP DA BOMB outerspace mix”, sounding like some amateur dirty dutch production. Coincidentally, Deadmau5 labeled this genre “sameStep”, poking fun at Afrojack for making similar sounding tunes just to please the public and succeed as an artist. This is basically what Afrojack said was necessary to succeed at EDMbiz; making tunes that people enjoy listening to.
