Bring on the reminiscing and yearning for Friday night because today it’s Sunday and I’m not ready for the week to begin. If you live in Los Angeles, Avalon’s ability to put on some epic shows is no new news and Control Fridays this week only further supported that. Besides being packed from the parking lot to the line at the door, the energy of everyone attending already radiated some positive vibes. Before you even entered you knew it was going to get a little crazy and in the best way. With names like Torro Torro, Bro Safari, and ETC!ETC! the expectations for insane bass was high and a great time guaranteed. Also, I can’t forget to add talented resident DJ Sam Hiller and producer Rags to the list of names that played. Each DJ had the audience craving more, dropping tracks like “The Drop,” “Dirt Off Your Shoulder,” “Clarity,””Express Yourself,””Bubble Butt,” and “Scumbag.” I could name off dozens of more tracks that kept the energy at an all time high, but then I might as well just include the massive set list that encompasses the whole night. I do want to give a special shout out to Bro Safari and ETC!ETC! for producing and playing some of my favorite tunes and making them come to life. There are not enough words to describe the perfection that was Friday Night and how much I wish I could go back. My recommendation for those who missed it? Check out all the artists from this show and be sure to look up future events. Avalon has no intention of stopping the incredible line ups.
