So here we have the final instalment of Lazer Strikes Back. I have to admit I’ve really enjoyed these EPs, and it’s pretty damn hard not to when the ML crew has so many crazy treats packed in them. First on deck is the Run DMT remix of ‘Jah No Partial’, which is borderline dubstep, but the rest of it screams lazers. Second up is a really chill, spiritual version of ‘Get Free’, with vocal work from Chronixx, and I have to admit, this is probably my favourite version of the track I’ve heard to date. Next up is a really bouncy moombah remix from Major Lazer themselves of Bunji Garlin’s ‘Differentology’, which is straight fire. I truly believe they saved the best for last, with a Shelco Garcia, Teenwolf, and Diplo remix of the powerful new anthem, ‘No Guns Allowed’. With some really interesting chords and harmonies, they flip the track from it’s reggae roots in this remix. The first drop they bring in is a really big, soaring progressive house drop, then the next drop is much deeper. Anyway there’s only two weeks left until the full album so make sure to pre-order it if you haven’t!
