I’m not sure what it is with artists releasing their music on Tuesdays, but it certainly brightens up my day. Kill The Noise’s Black Magic EP packs quite the punch. The New York native, Jake Stanczak, sends wave after wave of sound at us, ranging from the electro – dubstep collaboration, ‘Thumbs Up (For Rock N’ Roll)’ with Feed Me that he dropped last night for free, to the absolutely filthy drop in ‘Jump Ya Body’. ‘Saturn’ builds up greatly with a some really cool harmonizing vocals before bringing it back down into another filthy electro dub drop. One track that I really liked was the one that also stood out the most. ‘To Be Continued…’ is purely an instrumental piano piece, but the relation to KTN you’ll notice that it’s essentially a piano rendition of Kill The Noise pt. I. It still manages to maintain an eery, dark sound that does the original track justice. The EP is available on iTunes and is my favourite release from Kill The Noise to date.
