So just as I thought Ricky was going to be on a hiatus for a while, he drops this one. If you follow Ricky Cervantes on Twitter, then you know that he is all too frustrated with mashups of Alive, and on one night posted an entire set of the same mashup, with the same samples, made by about twenty different artists. Anyway, as usual Ricky sets the bar higher than most others and rewinds thing back in time a little to match up Krewella’s popular vocals with some old school Daft Punk. Check out the track now!

After dropping this massive treat during his Coachella sets, Trash releases this superb mashup for free on his SoundCloud page. Containing the instrumental track ‘Truffle Pig’ with the chopped up catchy vocals from his collaboration with A-Trak, Trash creates this mash that doesn’t compromise any element of either track, but instead works magnificently to refresh us.

Ricky Cervantes never fails to dissapoint with his spectacular, beautiful tracks and this climactic edit follows suit. Taking two very moving anthems and pairing them together, Ricky leaves you wanting just that little bit more, and although this mashup is announcing a ‘musical hiatus’, we hope that he comes back with a clear mind, and ready to bring us more masterpieces like this one.

I originally found the Two Friends through their feel good mashup, ‘Both of Us Feel Good‘ and so it’s with a great deal of privelage that I get to introduce their latest mashup, ‘Another Whistle-Blower’. The track features a plethora of vocal samples from the likes of Shaggy, Swedish House Mafia, Blink 182, and Ingrid Michaelson.
