I made this instrumental almost 2 years ago , it started as a song for my girlfriend and day by day burnt more of a hole on my desktop as I looked the right vocalist for it. I finally reached out to Qwel whom I fully trusted to cover all bases on this one. 2 days after sending him the track , he sent back the perfect verses , referencing video games at every turn all while keeping the theme alive. If someone were to ask me what my favorite hip hop/indie song of all time is, my answer would probably be this. For those unfamiliar with Brenton Duvall, he’s an up and comer rising out of Boulder, CO in the mash-up game, but for this tune he produces the beat and completely spins Gucci Mane’s track ‘That’s All’. Doctor P hits us with another party banger featuring a pounding bassline and spot on vocals from the lovely Eva Simons. It’s been awhile since I’ve heard something from Doctor P that I really didn’t enjoy, his remix of ‘Louder’ with Flux Pavilion is still one of my favorite songs to date; when Flux dropped it live at Spring Awakening everyone just went nuts. A rough remixed version of Kanye West’s hit song ‘All Of The Lights’ has just been released with added verses from Lil Wayne, Big Sean, and Drake. According to a couple different sources, the finished final cut is going to have a couple added verses from different artists including J. Cole. ‘All Of The Lights,’ coming off of Kanye’s latest album, My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy, is an EPIC track that has gained tons of attention all over the music and film industry.
