Ecliptik remixed T.I.’s track ‘What You Know About That’ and gave it a whole new ambiance with some screaming baselines and glitched out drops. Happy Valentines Day everyone! Maybe you can grab your special someone and slap this on your speakers sometime today.. or tonight! Here’s a brand new single coming from Loggy called ‘Be My Star’ featuring Kelsi Luck on the chorus. ‘Be My Star’ was produced by Blake Healy, of the band Metro Station. This song was created and recorded two weekends ago in Los Angeles, and a coinciding Music Video was shot as well, which is to be released within the next two weeks. Valentine’s Day is here and love is in the air no matter what you try to do, so Loggy decided to embrace it all with this song. It’s Monday and it’s time to start the week off with another banger so turn up your speakers for today’s daily dose! Today I have a track coming from a group called The Killabits which consists of Sam KBz & Biz Davis and their song is called ‘Stray Bullet.’ The Killabits are coming out of Toronto, Canada and specialize in drum n’ bass, dubstep, and electro music. The list of shows and acts they have supported is already too long to list, however some of the highlights from last year would include a mini tour with Skrillex, another with 16 bit as well as Zed’s Dead. Their Stephen Jerzak ft. Leighton Meester remix reached viral status with over half a million views in less than 6 months. Early in 2011 that same remix was released and broke into the iTunes USA Top 200 so be sure to check that out. In the mean time, turn up your speakers and get ready for today’s daily dose!

For those of you waiting on The Daily Dose, I’ve decided to make that series only during the week because everyone needs a break from their normal routine, so watch out for #4 on Monday. I got a request to post more hip hop so I found this new short Wiz Khalifa track called ‘Paper Callin.’ This song has a laid back rocker style beat with sick lyrics from Wiz. I think this is a snippet from part of a longer song but we’ll see if another version comes out. Everything Wiz has been putting out lately is golden and it seems like he can’t produce a bad song. Ya Boy’s track with Wiz below, ‘Get Her High’ was really sick and so was the first song off his new album featuring Too Short, ‘On My Level’. Wiz has been building a ton of anticipation for the new album Rolling Papers, which is set to drop on March 29, 2011. In the past year, he has built such a big fan base that I really think this may be the single best-selling album of the year because everyone will want a copy of his debut album. Turn up your speakers and enjoy ‘Paper Callin.’

What’s up Friday! I’ve got a sick hip hop track for everyone today. Ya Boy aka William Crawford is a hip hop artist coming from the Fillmore District of San Francisco. I grew up in the Bay Area and I’ve been listening to Ya Boy since his first mixtape ‘Rookie Of The Year’ dropped in 2005. He’s put out a TON of sick mixtapes since then and you can download them all for free on DatPiff.com right here! I’d say my favorite two mixtapes from him are The Fix 2 & Mowhawks & Heavy Metal so download those if you want to grab some new hip hop. Recently, Ya Boy signed to Akon’s record label Konvict Music and stopped putting out music for awhile but now I know that it was because he’s been working on his upcoming album, Kalifornia Konvict. This is the first leak off the new album called ‘Get Her High’ featuring Wiz Khalifa. ‘Get Her High’ has a really laid back beat with some sick lyrics coming from both artists. It’s about that time again! Here’s The Daily Dose #3 bangin’ out your speakers whether you’re ready or not. Today’s dose is coming to you from a dubstep producer called Cottonmouth who resides in the English countryside, near Bristol. His dubstep tracks have dark, screaming basslines, sinister drum programming, and disturbing melodies which combine together to produce some filthy sounding beats. Starting out as a drum’n'bass producer at the young age of fourteen, he retired from the music biz a few years later; or so he thought. He has returned with a whole host of new tunes and ideas that are guaranteed to leave your ears wondering what hit them. The synthesizer work Crizzly worked into this track is really amazing and the bass line is heavvvy. This track will definitely get you up and get your day moving. Pittsburg’s new hip hop sensation Mac Miller has just dropped this fresh new track called ‘Donald Trump’ off of his upcoming mixtape ‘Best Day Ever’ which is set to drop on March 11, 2011. He said that they’ve also shot a music video for this track that will also be released along with the mixtape in a couple weeks. I don’t know if Mac will take over the world, but he’s definitely taking the hip hop scene by storm with his smooth flowing tracks and cunning lyrical style. This kid has already jumped on tracks with some huge artists including Wiz Khalifa. As you can see from the picture, fans are linning up all over the place to see this kid perform and he definitely gives them their moneys worth.
