My guy Hucci, the 17 year old producer from Brighton, UK is on his fucking game lately. Dude has been releasing nothing but fire since day 1, whether it’s a hardcore bass heavy banger, or a chill tune with satisfying vocals. And frankly, he’s a producer that I’ve watched blow up faster than just about anyone in the game, which obviously says a whole lot about his completely original steez that he pretty much imprinted into the trap game. Here’s his latest release, an official remix of ‘Panic Cord’ which he did from Gabrielle Aplin a few days ago. I’ve had this one on repeat since it was sent to me.. and chances are if you haven’t already heard it, you will too. Lots more to come from Hucci in the near future.. Enjoy!

I don’t even know where to begin with this remix from the Chainsmokers. This has been one of the songs I’ve been listening to non-stop for the last few weeks. Not only did the Chainsmokers give us an incredibly beautiful remix, but they did so while keeping all the elements that made everyone fall in love with the original song intact. I personally had never even heard of the group Daughter (guess that’s what I get writing for an EDM blog), but thanks to this remix, I now not only have even more respect for the Chainsmokers, but I’ve got Daughter on my radar as well.
The song is mellow and very emotional in its vibes, and the voice of Daughter’s lead singer Elena combined with the huge chords that the Chainsmokers have layered her with give this tune a definitive big room feel. The majority of the song features Elena’s vocals over some big minor chords which definitely lend to the emotional feel of the song. Eventually after about 3 minutes of tear jerking late night trance type vibes, the song builds up to a big synth laden progressive house drop which is a certain crowd pleaser.
The Chainsmokers continue to amaze me, and are definitely one of my groups to keep a close eye upon. If you haven’t heard their remix of Little Daylight’s song ‘Overdose’, I recommend you go grab that one as soon as you’e done listening to Medicine.
Let’s help these guys get famous because their girlfriends have been quoted as saying “If you guys don’t, like, get famous soon I am going to call Jared Leto Back”. DON’T HAVE THAT ON YOUR CONSCIENCE!

So I discovered this gem on Soundcloud a few days back, sat on it for a couple days, came back and it was gone. I’m not sure why, but Honolulu’s Mr. Carmack completely removed this chill trap original entitled ‘Brazilian Blowjob’ from his page. Luckily I was still able to find it on YouTube and share it with you all! Not sure why he would remove this.. I’ve had this jam on repeat for the past few days. Check it out and enjoy.

Chicago based bass music duo Team Bayside High just sent us over their latest bootleg, and it is a little bit of a departure from what we’ve recently been hearing from them. In the past we’ve been fed a solid dose of bass heavy heaters, but this tune has a much more laid back chill vibe to it. This time they took the classic hit ‘Such Great Heights’ by The Postal Service, stripped off the vocals, re-did the drums and came up with a perfect tune to just kick back and relax to. Check it out, and throw them a like on Facebook in order to get the free download. Stay tuned for more tunes from these guys as they have been dropping crazy joint after crazy joint lately!

This album is really, really cool. I’ve been jamming out to it while doing my work all day. Although it’s a little more out there than a lot of the stuff we post, it has a really interesting concept. This is taken directly from the description on Bandcamp:
This is my sophomore album, Nostalgiarithm, finished 3 years after my first, Penultimate. It’s about the “downswing” of a night on the town, starting at peak hour with uptempo ‘club’ tracks and progressing down through more chilled out vibes until finally it passes out in the early morning. Of course, along the way there are plenty of detours… I hope you enjoy it; it has been a labor of love for six+ months!
PrototypeRaptor has some really deep stuff going on, while also being very catchy and danceable at all the right moments. As you can tell from his description, this is definitely an album to be enjoyed as a whole, which I think is something you really don’t see enough of in electronic music. It starts off with some really innovative housey tracks and slowly moves towards something akin to chillstep. The hard work he put in has absolutely paid off in my opinion, and I hope all of you enjoy this album as much as I have!

A lot of you guys have been requesting that we post more dubstep, as we’ve been slacking off a little bit on that front over the last few months. With this track, as well as the mixes posted earlier today, and Flux Pavilion’s incredible EP a few days ago, we hope we’re moving in a direction everybody is happy about (not that we won’t continue to post the illest trap bangers). This track, from the incredible producer Minnesota, has a really nice chillstep atmosphere to it that is similar to a lot of Minnesota’s other tracks. He does a really good job building and releasing energy, and the vocals sound beautiful as well. Enjoy!

HugLife, the artist formerly known as DJ Slink, has struck gold with this remix of Kid Cudi’s classic, “Pursuit of Happiness”. HugLife, keeps the chill vibe the original has, but adds a pinch of dubstep to it. He also adds some glitches to the track which work really well and make the track sound even better. Take a listen and make sure to cop the free download.

4am was the very Kaskade track I listened to, and also one of the first electronic music tracks I listened to. I was very hesitant to say the least when BTN sent me this one a few days back, but damn this is the perfect revive for an old school track. Although this is a trap remix, they work around the delicate vocals and manage to keep the ambience of the original while putting a well composed trap spin on it.
