G.O.O.D. Music’s president Kanye West sent the internet into frenzy with one single tweet sent out last Thursday that simple read “June Eighteen.” These two simple words snowballed into a ton of rumors and we’re getting closer and closer to confirming that this day will in fact be the official release date of Kanye’s 6th solo album.
Rolling Stone Magazine has now reported that Kanye West has been working with Daft Punk and Skrillex to produce at least three songs on his forthcoming album alongside several other hip-hop artists such as 2 Chainz, John Legend and Odd Future. Other sources are saying that Chief Keef and Travi$ Scott have recently traveled to Paris and are rumored to have possibly worked on the new album as well.
“It was very raw,” Daft Punk’s Thomas Bangalter explained after a recent studio session with Kanye West. “He was rapping – kind of screaming primally.”
Details about this upcoming release are hard to come by. “You know I’m not going to tell you anything about that crazy-ass boy,” explained 2 Chainz. “Just know that Mr. West has some dope [music] on the way.”
Needless to say, we’re in for a real treat on June eighteen.

After the successful joint venture of last year’s “Never Say Die” compilation album, Never Say Die Records and UKF are collaborating again to showcase the best and most cutting-edge sounds in bass music.
The core NSD roster is ever-present and is joined by a hand picked selection of special guests. Label head of A&R SKisM heads up the affair and delivers the continuous mix on the deluxe edition, while Zomboy, Eptic, 501 and Dodge & Fuski offer up the trademark sounds that have put the label at the forefront of the Dubstep scene in recent years.
Seizing the opportunity to broaden it’s musical scope, the label has opened it’s doors to feature exclusive tracks by some of the hottest artists in the EDM scene right now including Antiserum & Mayhem, Schoolboy, Figure, Buku, Killagraham, Habstrakt, Virus Syndicate and the legendary BAR9.
The album will be released digitally (and on super limited edition Double CD) on April 21st.

Over the past year I’ve learned that the four-piece bass-oriented band from London known as Modestep makes some SUPER dirty mixes, and unfortunately, none of these mixes contain track lists. In celebration of their new album Evolution Theory being released, Modestep has just dropped the next installment into their mix archives, volume nine. This 58-minute mix contains nothing but non-stop bass from some of the sickest artists around such as Doctor P, Foreign Beggars, & KOAN Sound just to name a few. After you peep this mix, be sure to head over to iTunes & grab the deluxe version of Evolution Theory because it’s one hell of an album.

Here goes a new banger from Los Angeles MC, Casey Veggies. My Vision, arguably the most stand out song, is the 2nd track from Veggies latest project, Life Changes, which dropped earlier today. Produced by the Futuristiks & 1500 or Nothing, Casey rides the smooth beat with an ill vocal sample until the :34 mark, where the beat drops, and so do the drums and bass. I’ve been a fan of Casey Veggies since his short stint with Odd Future and all the material he’s dropped has been FIRE from then until now. You can stream his Life Changes album below, which boasts features from DOM Kennedy and BJ The Chicago Kid as well as production from The Futuristiks, 1500 or Nothing, Harry Fraud, Cardiak and much more. Enjoy ‘My Vision’ as well as Life Changes below.

This album is 5 & A Dime’s fifth album, and by no means is he a stranger to the realm of mashups. His mashups are always known to be instant party starters as well as the perfect ragers. He more often than not is able to draw upon samples from the hottest EDM tracks as well as the most popular top 40 vocals. The singles from the album will be dropping randomly throughout the week so make sure you grab them!

Mad Liberation.
Mad Liberation is a collection of songs that I have been working on for the past year that ranged from mostly original compositions to varied sample work (retro vinyl recordings and new all original recordings); digital synthesis that took me weeks to master; to live instrumentation tediously and soulfully recorded by myself and some of my very good friends.
This collection of noise – to me – became an album, a sound in a whole, an idea free from limits of thought and more an idea of the heart and soul. Mad Liberation is a piece of me that is representative of my past, breathes life into my present, and is a taste of the future.
I don’t have fancy recording equipment, amazing speakers, crazy keyboards, complicated sample packs, proper studio time, cutting edge midi controllers, or outboard mixing gear.
What I do have is an endless imagination of the future/now, unrelenting will, constant fascination, and a heart that has no capacity to stop loving and trying.
This business – when you boil it down – is not about the machine, but about the man. Even electronic music is humanistic. We breath life into these dead things to make them whisper and ROAR!! I am inspired by that fact, and this is what sets me free.
This is Mad Liberation

P.S. Thank you all for continuing to support my sound. I am so blown away, impressed, and excited at how many of you guys come out and show love at my shows! Thanks for being such a big part of it!! (this is only the beginning for #teamGRiZ)
