We’ve been sleeping on this one for like two weeks, but it definitely deserves to be posted. Thunderbird Gerard is a rapper/producer with a really cool electro-tinged hip hop style. I’m a big fan of this EP, which is saying something as I’m not a guy to listen to hip hop unless its really fucking good. Definitely give this one a listen. Enjoy!

After dropping their sixth track off this massive 10-track collaboration Animal LP titled “Burn The Block” yesterday, Bro Safari & the mysterious UFO! are back with the full-length LP for free download. Animal LP features 10 massive trap & hip-hop originals full of all the thunderous 808 drums and hip-hop samples that one could only dream of; you may even find some dubstep tunes hidden among the ruckus. Bro Safari mentioned that this album has been in the works for over one year now due to scheduling conflicts, but we’re beyond stoked that it’s finally here. Definitely worth the wait.

So…
Here it is. The album that we’ve been talking about for over a year. Scheduling conflicts be damned, we made it happen! Yes, the process was long, and at times it was even a little grueling, but we stuck to our guns and we couldn’t be happier with the results.
Originally, we created about 16 tracks for the album, and then we narrowed it down to the songs that you have in front of you today. It was important to us that we create a collection of music that crossed multiple styles and genres, yet told a coherent story. It’s not an easy thing to do, but we feel like we pulled it off by using themes, samples, techniques and by consciously assessing what did and did not work together.
We feel like there is something for everyone on this record and we’re very pleased with the fact that we can offer this to everyone for free. All we ask is that you listen to it with an open mind, share it with your friends and come say hello whenever we play a show in your city.
So, once again – Thank you to each and every person that showed us support over the last few years. We love working together, and have already discussed plans for a follow up album.

After news broke earlier this month that Kanye West was recruiting help from Skrillex & Daft punk to produce tracks off his upcoming album Yeezus out June 18, we’ve all been excited to hear what these new tracks will sound like.
“It was very raw,” Daft Punk’s Thomas Bangalter explained after a recent studio session with Kanye West. “He was rapping – kind of screaming primally.”
Last night Saturday Night Live finished up their season with a performance from non-other than Kanye West who premiered two of his new tracks titled “New Slaves” & “Black Skinheads” off of Yeezus. A clip of the performance can be seen below.
We have no official confirmation that this is indeed Daft Punk behind the boards on this new track, but all signs are starting to point in this direction, especially with Thomas Bangalter’s descriptive statement given above after his time working with Kanye in the Paris studio.

Cam Meekins has been gaining popularity incredibly fast due to his relate able lyrics and impeccable flow. This is the new single off of his forthcoming album “Lamp City,” also featuring another upcoming artist Skizzy Mars. This one is a catchy and upbeat track that talks about doing what we want to do and not giving a fuck about what anyone else says! Make sure to check out Inhale and Lamp City Family, the other two singles off of Meekins upcoming first studio album. It will be released on the 21st!

Like Whaaat! I’ve been bumping this original track for MONTHS and finally someone from the EDM world has come in and remixed this huge hip-hop club anthem “Like Whaaat” by Problem featuring Bad Lucc into a massive trap/hip-hop banger mad strictly to tear the clubs up. Mad props to fellow Los Angeles artist Salva for taking on this tune. “Like Whaaat” dropped on Problem’s Welcome To Mollywood 2 mixtape back in August of 2012 and has been tearing up the DatPiff charts ever since, so I suggest you grab your free copy if you haven’t already.

Jay-Z released his fresh new track “100$ Bill” coming off of the highly anticipated soundtrack for the upcoming film The Great Gatsby. “100$ Bill” features some powerful lyrics, Jay-Z even calls himself a new Kennedy, over some super clean production to compliment his always-confident lyrical delivery. Besides opening up the soundtrack with his own track, Jay-Z also was the executive producer on this album which is set to drop May 7th via Interscope Records. The legend Wyclef Jean from 90s Hip-Hop group, The Fugees, returns from a LONG hiatus with the Troy Ave featured ‘April Showers’. ‘April Showers’ serves as the title track from his recently released mixtape of the same name. Produced by Sedeck Jean, this track sounds like a winner to me, it proves that the legends still got it. That boy Troy Ave has flow as well. I’ve been keeping my eyes and ears tuned on him.
