First of all, Fountains of Wayne was one of my favorite bands in high school. Secondly, Singularity and Robotic Pirate Monkey are two (5 if we’re getting technical) of my favorite producers. So if you combine those two fun facts into a Fountains of Wayne remix by Singularity and Robotic Pirate Monkey then that means that I might need a new change of pants. When I saw Singularity tweet about this remix last night I was already excited, but when I got his email with the track and saw that it was a collaboration with RPM I was over the moon. Apparently today is some sort of Progressive House holiday because everything i’m hearing is just banger after banger, and this remix definitely tops my list of favorites!
We’ve posted a track or two from Autosav3 in the past, but this one is definitely my favorite of his so far. It’s got pretty, melodic breakdowns followed by groovy electro drops that are kind of reminiscent of Benny Benassi. Definitely worth a listen. Be sure to show him some love on Facebook and Twitter too!
So this remix from N3AKO of Fedde Le Grand’s ‘Rockin N Rollin’ isn’t his usual style, but we dig it anyway. The remix takes the original and adds a more aggressive drop with a harder kick which leaves more of a hook in your head. Check out the remix and go and vote for it on Beatport!
It’s always cool to see someone you actually know blowing up. Doug Bogan, a DJ who goes to school with me at Bucknell (although he just recently graduated), is extremely good at what he does, and if you haven’t heard of him before, you should definitely take some time to peruse his back catalog of mashups and original tracks on Soundcloud. There are a ton of bangers in there that can bring the party pretty much anywhere. One thing that’s especially awesome about Doug is that aside from being a DJ, he is also an accomplished jazz and classical pianist, which is something that most people in the EDM scene definitely do not have going for them.
Anyway, this is a pretty awesome mashup of his including Krewella, Zedd, R3hab, Nicky Romero, Vicetone and more, and its a serious banger. He just dropped this video chronicling a recent show of his in San Diego, which goes really nicely with the track.
Enjoy!
So I last heard from Nick Thayer on his Like Boom EP which I thought went far too unnoticed considering how brilliant it is. Anyway, the Melbourne producer is back at it with this next EP, titled Worlds Collide. The whole EP is packed with futuristic sounds, covering all styles of bass music while creating face melting drops, and brilliant tracks. Check out the track breakdown and the full streaming EP after the jump!
So ‘Legacy’ has undoubtedly been on of the most highly anticipated collaborations of the year since Nicky Romero and Krewella played it for the first time ever during Ultra Music Festival. With Nicky Romero’s infectuous sounds underneath, and the usual incredibly captivating vocals from Jahan and Yasmine of Krewella, this track comes together incredibly well and is bound to be a track that we’ll be hearing over and over this summer. We can not wait enough to hear ‘Legacy’ in full and the track will be dropping soon on Protocol but for now enjoy the preview!
The genre-defying Dog Blood duo made up of Skrillex & Boys Noize have got some more unreleased tunes up their sleeve as Skrillex premieres an untitled demo titled “Get Up!” in his essential mix for BBC Radio 1 last night. “Get Up!” packs a punch with the funky fast-paced bassline fused with energetic samples and groovy melodies. We can’t wait for this one to drop!
OH MY GOD! I’ve been waiting for a clean version of this unreleased A$AP Rocky “Wild for the Night” remix ever since Dog Blood melted my face off with it during their live set in the Sahara tent weekend one of Coachella. If you want to see the insanity of this remix live, we posted a video of this right after Coachella on our Facebook page which you can check out right here. Skrillex & Boys Noize completely flipped A$AP Rocky’s “Wild for the Night” upside down and turned it into a monstrous electro tune with mind-blowing builds and jaw-dropping drops.
Our friend BORGEOUS has buckled down in the studio over the past few weeks and the time has finally come for him to debut his first electro house original titled “AGGRO” available for free download. “AGGRO” features crisp drums, explosive melodies, energetic samples and a nasty dutch bassline to get the party started. Grab this one for free off his Facebook page below & crank those speakers up to get your Friday night started with a BANG!
I’ve got a fever, and the only prescription is Electro House (..and cowbell). OVERWERK is like EDM on steroids, and so is this new track, ‘Matter’. It’s been an uncomfortably long time since i’ve heard a jaw dropping Electro House song, but evidently my thirst has been quenched with this banger. Edmond, the 23 year old Canadian madman behind OVERWERK, has been gracious enough to provide the world with free downloads to almost all of his music, and ‘Matter’ is no different. So press play and let the loud crunchy synths take over and just TRY to stop yourself from downloading it, because you’ll definitely want to be playing this new tune at all your parties..For the ladies (or guys, it’s whatever).
