Recently I’ve been getting into RAC who produces some of the cleanest indie electronic remixes that I’ve ever heard, like his flawless, chart-topping remix of Lana Del Rey’s “Blue Jeans”. The genre-defying Dog Blood duo made up of Skrillex & Boys Noize have got some more unreleased tunes up their sleeve as Skrillex premieres an untitled demo titled “Get Up!” in his essential mix for BBC Radio 1 last night. “Get Up!” packs a punch with the funky fast-paced bassline fused with energetic samples and groovy melodies. We can’t wait for this one to drop!
OH MY GOD! I’ve been waiting for a clean version of this unreleased A$AP Rocky “Wild for the Night” remix ever since Dog Blood melted my face off with it during their live set in the Sahara tent weekend one of Coachella. Skrillex & Boys Noize completely flipped A$AP Rocky’s “Wild for the Night” upside down and turned it into a monstrous electro tune with mind-blowing builds and jaw-dropping drops.
During his BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix last night, Skrillex was also showing off some unreleased tunes from his own collection. This untitled original, we’re calling it “Untitled (This Much Power)”, was another to catch our ear after hearing Skrillex go back to his roots of producing dubstep while adding a touch of Knife Party’s eerie sampling style. We can’t wait for this on to drop. What do you think? Will Skrillex start bringing dubstep back?
Skrillex premiered his 120-minute BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix yesterday, and if you tuned in, you know he unleashed all hell on us for 120 minutes straight with unreleased bass-filled goodness coming from. The first track that caught our eye was the eighth track in, Dog Blood’s “Middle Finger 2 (VIP)”, a monstrous genre-defying production twisting the original and setting it ablaze in new light. We’ll be covering some more unreleased tunes from the essential mix, so be sure to stick around today.
