Today is the day, the first single off Avicii‘s forthcoming posthumous album Tim has arrived.

Reconnecting with Aloe Blacc, “S.O.S” while being a masterful melodic masterpiece, the lyrics express his battles that will certainly strike a chord with listeners considering his tragic passing.

What may seem like a party anthem once again built around a flawless Avicii melody, the songwriting in this single run much deeper than an uplifting production using this track to express the struggles he was enduring.

“Can you hear me – SOS! Help me put my mind to rest…” and ”I don’t want to be seen in this shape I’m in, I don’t want you to see how depressed I’ve been.”

However, things quickly take a 180 allowing for love to serve as the light at the end of the tunnel. Avicii’s legacy lives on with “S.O.S” and certainly sets the tone of what to expect from his latest body of work.
