Kodak Black Just Dropped The Soundtrack To Your Valentines Day

Kodak Black Just Dropped The Soundtrack To Your Valentines Day

He might be behind bars but apparently that’s not going to stop Kodak Black from releasing new music. On Monday his team announced that he would be dropping a new project on February 14th. Here it is, right on time! In light of the “holiday” the tape is appropriately titled, Heart Break Kodak. The only collabs are with Lil Wayne on the previously released, “Codeine Dreaming” and Tory Lanez on “Fuck With You.” The 17 track tape might be a compilation of throwaways to keep fans interested but I’ll take it.

Kodak has definitely been on a different wave recently and this tape speaks wonders to that. His rhymes used to focus on different aspects of his life and the delivery was brash. Listen to HBK and even some of Project Baby 2, you’ll hear the evolution. I’m not sure if ‘softer side’ is the right term but Kodak is for sure honed into something else. A personal favorite (“Codeine Dreaming” aside) off of this one is “Why You Always Gotta Go” but truthfully it goes all the way though. It’s a shame he can’t seem to avoid legal troubles, here’s to hoping one day Kodak will figure it out but until then turn this up!
