A stamp from The Weeknd will get you instant, infinite amounts of clout. Derek Wise and 88 Camino, both Toronto natives, managed to grab the attention of the XO founder. Their unique and contrasting flows make them the perfect fit in the ever-growing collective. The two have been working together for some time now so the highly anticipated 88Glam project is right on time.

If you’re keen to the darker feeling tracks that chronicle living lavishly, you will love these dudes. MurdaBeatz, WondaGurl, AlexOnWeed and VillaBeatz handle most of the production because why not keep it Canada through and through. This tape honestly goes front to back but we do have a couple of personal favorites. The stand alone feature comes from their XO counterpart, Nav, on a track called “Bali.” The way the three seamlessly flow over the melodic, bouncy beat justifies their recruitment into the clique. Another tune we’ve had on repeat is the debut single off the project, “12.”

88Glam and the whole XO conglomerate are destined for big things in 2018 so keep an eye out. Their self titled debut EP is available on iTunes & Spotify. Give it a listen and let us know what you think!
