Avicii Breaks His Silence Following Retirement Teasing New Music
Brian Bonavoglia

When word first started to get around about Avicii’s retirement, many found it hard to believe one of the industries biggest names would be calling it quits so soon until he delivered the official announcement himself. While the electronic dance music community hasn’t received new music of the Swedish icon since 2015, that all looks to change following the release of a teaser posted on his Instagram of an instrumental cut from the cloth of “Hey Brother” and “Wake Me Up.”

Spending his time producing rather than traveling a vigorous global tour schedule, his caption “New music coming (very) soon!” could mean this could open the flood gates to a bevy of new music. *starts slow clap*

Now we’ve never been ones to really speculate of getting too involved in the rumor mill BUT there has been talk of Avicii’s come back including not one but two EPs! (Essentially an album broken down into two parts.)

Take a listen to his latest production below and be sure to stay tuned for more news regarding his return.
