The Chainsmokers & Coldplay Break YouTube Record
Mallory Gray

It’s not breaking news to us that The Chainsmokers have revolutionized dance music, but now the entire world is in on it. The lyric video for their latest single “Something Just Like This” featuring British rock legends, Coldplay, set a YouTube record by racking up over 9 million views in the first 24 hours of its debut.

The record for most views in a single day was previously held by Justin Bieber’s “What Do You Mean” at 8.2 million. The lyric video was expected to be nothing short of brilliance with creative genius, James Zwadlo, behind the direction but even he was stunned by the groundbreaking achievement. Click the link below to watch what has now been viewed over 43 million times.

I'm an LA based sneakerhead who flies around the US to take photos at dance music festivals. My travel companion is a rainbow unicorn pillow pet named Bowlo (He is cultured, has performed an impromptu guest DJ set at Wet Republic and much more). I'm not ashamed to admit I connect with my internet friends on Discord daily and I can rap The Life Of Pablo in its entirety.
