Ivy Lab Puts Us Under a Halftime Spell with “Magikess”

Ivy Lab Puts Us Under a Halftime Spell with “Magikess”

Ivy Lab is easily one of the most hard-hitting collaborative projects right now. A project between the prolific producers, SabreStray and Halogenix, the group is currently ramping up for their next EP release while on their tour with Shades. Magikess is the second song off their EP, it was just released for streaming, and is just about as magical as it gets. The Peninsula EP is greatly anticipated, as it will be their second to be released on Critical Music since 2015.

Its deep echoing intro of industrial like intro brings you into the first drop with a wave of halftime goodness. The snares are heady and the overlay of the synth is perfection. We are literally dying over this EP and can’t wait for more to be released. Ivy Lab and Shades will be in Seattle, WA this Wednesday at Q Nightclub. You can check out more information on their current tour via their Facebook link below.

Alicia has been listening to techno since she was born, growing up right outside of Detriot, MI. She was engrossed in music while attending art school in Baltimore, MD. Once she moved to Seattle, WA her involvement in the industry was cemented by being asked to promote for several nights throughout the city. Her main love is techno, her side-chick is future-bass but her most desired bae is house music.
