Let’s say what we’re all thinking by now…G-Buck is that dude right now. Releasing smash after smash, the rising producer has become a fan and critical favorite for his glitched out, hip hop influenced, heavy trap style. Now, with his latest release “Ride Da Bike”, he also confirms that he’s also one stand up dude by releasing a song that has been almost 2 years in the making and is in remembrance of the late Nicky Da B who tragically passed away a year ago today.
G-Buck does the homie proud on this one as he lays down a popping 100 bpm style trap banger that features the late “Express Yourself” Nicky Da B with Jack U and Party Favor collaborator Fly Boi Keno absolutely turning this track up to maximum level with their reggae dancehall influenced flows and rhymes. From the snapping drum kits, screaming synths and trippy percussion sounds over the drop, this track is just a fire starter front to back. A lot of love, fun and time went into this track and you can certainly hear it in the production.
It’s sad to see someone taken from the world to soon but it’s good to see that the people around them celebrate their lives in the best way possible. It seems like no tears shed over this track though, just good times had and good times to come. We think that’s what all the artists involved wanted to do when they set out to make “Ride Da Bike” and they certainly succeeded in every regard. So get that download, raise a glass and turn those speakers up! #RIPNickyDaB
