It’s Official: BeatPort Introduces Trap Into The Genre Charts
BEN

The day has finally arrived. BeatPort has officially introduced Trap music into the genre charts. Fear not producers, Trap music will no longer be taking spots in your dubstep & electro house charts, for it has it’s own genre. No longer will trap music be pushed in with other genres and categorized as something it’s not. It now has its own place to call home in the BeatPort music empire.

With new releases and featured artists like UZ, Bro Safari, Baauer, RL Grime & Flosstradamus plastered right on the genre’s home page, now you have no need to go searching for those thunderous 808s and hyphy chants in places they don’t belong.

Trap music is here to stay and BeatPort has solidified that. We’ve known this all along, but what do you think about this new development? Check out the charts here.
