The Canadian duo known as Zeds Dead always throws out some original, staggering stuff. Continuing to show how versatile they are, the duo decided to remix Bon Iver’s ‘Woods’, one of the chillest songs in all of my iTunes library. I’m a huge Bon Iver fan, so it’s safe to say I am officially in love with this remix. You may recognize Bon Iver’s voice sounding like Kanye’s song ‘Lost In The World’. Check this one out and enjoy!

After dropping his massive dirty dubstep original ‘Super Sonic Brain Waves’ back towards the end of August, the drumstep monster returns with a brand new VIP (variation in production) of ‘Super Sonic Brain Waves’. Figure did a great job as always of explaining the track, so I’ll let him let you know what’s up. Enjoy!
The original is one of my favorite tracks I’ve made , it always gets a crazy energetic bounce going on. For this “VIP” I basically formatted the original to work at 87 bpm (vs the originals 70bpm) and added a 110 switch up. It’s been causing quite a frenzy at the shows , hope y’all get some use out of it.
Also just launched the new FIGURE store at fixtstore.com/imfigure and will have some brain wave shirts up soon.
Next up.. off to Canada for shows in Victoria and Vancouver before heading to Soundwave Fest in Phoenix. And more shows are being added all the time.

WOW! I just got back from my first bachelor party in Las Vegas and might have taken 5 years off my lifespan, but while I was gone, our boy Tal Levy, aka Clark Kent dropped his debut “trapstep” remix of B.O.B.’s hit ‘Out of My Mind’ featuring YMCB’s Nicki Minaj. If you haven’t jumped aboard the Clark Kent bandwagon yet, we’ve been supporting this young Santa Cruz-based kid since his first release, and you have to check out this other incredible releases like his hugely popular remix of Max Vangeli & AN21 ‘Bombs Over Capitals or his super dope remix of Zeds Dead’s ‘Cowboy’ featuring Omar LinX for the BeatPort remix competition. Enjoy!

The great thing about doing a dubstep remix of the song “How Low” by Ludacris are the metaphorical implications involved. How low can you go Caspa and Ludacris? Bass wise, it would seem that they are capable of going very low. I do not know them well enough to comment on the morality of their personal behavior.
Obviously Ludacris is referring to groupies on the dance floor. But, did anyone else think Ludacris was saying “I love pink and gold,” the first few times they heard this song?
This is a remix that Caspa did sometime in 2010. He just dropped it on his SoundCloud profile as a free download, and it is safe to say that it slaps. So far the comments on this free track seem positive. Go ahead and add your comment before all the space is taken up. Then pick up your own free copy of Ludacris “How Low” the Caspa remix.

Fonik is an artist from the UK who has been featured on Filthy Friday in the past, and he just dropped the Mayan Apocalypse EP a few days ago. His tracks are always high energy and usually feature huge, filthy dubstep basslines. This track, the third of five on the EP, is the first electrohouse track of his that I have ever encountered, and it is epic. It starts off with a beautiful lead line that is slightly reminiscent of Porter Robinson’s ‘Unison’ and quickly evolves into a floorshaking monster. Around the 5 minute mark, there is a half-time drop which somehow manages to be even more devastatingly filthy than everything before it. Overall, this track is absolutely dope, and so is the rest of the EP, which you can download for free on his website in exchange for an email address. The rest of the EP can also be found on his soundcloud. Definitely check it out, its dirty all the way through. Enjoy!

I know you’ve probably heard countless remixes of Skrillex & Damian Marley’s reggae-infused dubstep collaboration ‘Make It Bun Dem’ over the past few weeks due to BeatPort’s remix competition, but I have to throw one more at you coming from Houston-based Feature Cuts. After holding off until his remix reached the top 10 in BeatPort’s competition, Feature Cuts has finally released his remix for free download. If you’re digging this remix, please head over to BeatPort and vote for this massive remix right here. Enjoy!
What a surreal year this has been. It has occurred to me just recently all of the things I have yet to learn. The chaos of the seemingly infinite amounts of knowledge in the world was at once overwhelming. Just recently, I’ve found motivation through the chaos, and it’s quite exciting; I digress. If you were ever to look inside of my mind, currently this is all you’d see. Enjoy.
