Texas dubstep artist Mr. Wonk has returned to TSS once again wearing his creepy green mask for his remix of Hoaxx’s hit titled ‘Lovetrack.’ Engulfing this original with his signature dark ambience full of powerful bass explosions that accompany Hoaxx’s original lyrics, Mr. Wonk manages to pull the listener into world away from this one. I can’t get enough of Mr. Wonk’s combination of slow, churning bass blended with choppy vocals samples, so I decided to throw in a BONUS track. Next up is his dubstep remix of Linkin Park’s hit track ‘Numb.’ Enjoy!

Many write off Jim Jones as a one-hit wonder because they haven’t really heard from him since ‘We Fly High (Ballin).’ But low-key, Jim drops bangers at least once a month. ’60 Rackz’ is no different! This one is another baller anthem for the bottle service VIP regulars across the nation and those who aspire to be one some day. Haha, for real though, this track is hot. Jim Jones’ rhymes since he found his comfort level in that booth have been really dope. The chorus will have you shouting it out loud wherever you go and bossing around town pumping this track out your speakers. For the past couple of years Jim has really become his own star by stepping out of fellow Diplomat member Cam’Ron’s shadow. Clothing line, TV shows, and new music dropping consistently; if you haven’t been aware of Jim Jones’ #VampireLife movement, it would be a great time for you to get familiar. Enjoy!

I like to spend my Sundays listening to dubstep from the deeper end of the spectrum. I generally have found that its a nice counterpoint to the chaos of the typical college weekend. This track is absolutely perfect for that. If you haven’t heard Dub Side of the Moon, or the even cooler Dubber Side of the Moon, I suggest you download both albums immediately. The latter was literally the soundtrack to my freshman year of college. Basically, the first of the two was a project by a group called the Easy Star All-Stars, which, as it sounds, is a sort of supergroup formed out of members of various groups from the reggae label Easy Star Records, who recreated the entire album ‘Dark Side of the Moon’ by Pink Floyd in a dub style. I could go on and on about how awesome this album is, and how much more awesome its sequel, ‘Dubber Side of the Moon,’ which consists of bass heavy remixes of all the songs from the original one, is, but I digress. This post is about Buku’s remix, which is a deep, heavy remix of ‘Breathe,’ which is definitely one of the highlights of ‘Dub Side of the Moon’ to begin with. Buku is a young producer from Pittsburgh, PA (kind of my neck of the woods now that I’m at school out here in Pennsyltucky). This remix is an excellent blend of the dubby vibes of the original and the booming bass energy we all know and love here at ThisSongSlaps. Definitely check it out, I promise it will be an excellent complement to your Sunday night. Mellow out and enjoy!

Quickly rising California powerhouse bass producer, Bass Science, have craftily managed to turn Lights’ pop hit ‘Everybody Breaks A Glass’ into a glitched-out dubstep masterpiece. Using Lights’ official lyrics from their recent remix competition’s sample pack, Bass Science kept the familiar tone of this hit but added his signature flavor full of energetic bass. Enjoy!

Normally I’d leave all the hip hop up to Martin, but right when I heard this, I had to throw it into our collection. This one, titled ‘Swag In The Bagg,’ is for all the 808 hip-hop heads out there generously given away by up-and-coming Los Angeles hip hop duo, KleptoMaddox, consisting of Klepto (aka Andrew Kennedy Jones “K.eeping L.yrics E.ssentially P.ositive T.hrough O.pportunity) and Maddox (aka Kevin Kristopher). KleptoMaddox decided to mix it up and throw out a bass-filled club track to get your parties started. Enjoy!

After giving us the green light to leak ‘Bigger Than Me’ a couple days ago, RockstarMuzik frontman Kidd Upstairs delivers his latest offering, ‘The Cities Tape.’ You should already know what time it is when you see new RockstarMuzik on TSS, nothing but the illest rhymes and production and this project doesn’t variate from that formula whatsoever. Kidd handles the bulk of the production and when he doesn’t, it’s handled by rising producer, Big O. With guest features from Mikey Montana and label mate X.O., The Cities Tape is sure to hold all the RockStarMuzik fiends over until the next song or mixtape drops. Check out 3 of my favorite tracks from the mixtape below along with the download link for the mixtape. STAR ROCK!!

After only giving us one banger song titled ‘Loud’ leading up to this mixtape, Mac Miller has finally released his latest mixtape entitled Macadelic. I’ve been sitting on this mixtape letting it marinate for a day or so now just to give you my honest opinion on it. It’s DEFINITELY worth the download; I vibed to Macadelic from start to finish. The production, Mac’s sex, drugs, & hip-hop filled rhymes are on point. He’s definitely been bringing the heat lately. He holds his own on the entire mixtape but the guest appearances are pretty ill as well, including artists like Cam’Ron, Kendrick Lamar, Lil’ Wayne, Juicy J and more. He pretty much covered all bases on this one. You can peep 2 standout tracks from the mixtape below, and if you’re feeling them, you can also download the entire project. Mac Miller fans will be very happy with this one, that’s for sure!

WOW! Strap your seatbelt on and turn your speakers all the way up for this one because it’s a banger not for the faint of heart. Michael White is a 21-year-old dubstep/drumstep producer rising out of the South of Spain. ‘One Click Headshot’ was one of my favorite songs on Feed Me’s most recent EP, Escape From Electric Mountain. Somehow Michael White managed to make ‘One Click Headshot’ even better with tons of ground-shaking drumstep bass and more use of the Counterstrike “headshot” sample.
