Netherlands’ DJ R3hab returns just in time for your Saturday night rager with another massive free release titled ‘Chainsaw Showers’ after bringing us hit popular track titled ‘Chainsaw The Night’ two weeks ago. I’m stoked because I didn’t see this one coming at all, Rihanna and Chris already caused controversy when they RiRi announced that Chris would be on the remix to her banger ‘Birthday Cake.’ When that remix dropped, everyone went crazy. Fast forward a month later and none other than the Maybach Music Group general, Rick Ross decides to give it his splash of MMG flavor. All I can say is ‘WOW!’ Rozay murdered it in 50 seconds flat. Honestly, I can’t remember a wack Rick Ross verse, EVER. With time his rhymes, flow and delivery just keep getting better and better. It came as no surprise when MTV crowned him #1 hottest MC in the game, you can’t deny him, he’s been on a straight winning streak, all I’m saying is I can not wait until I hear this ring off in the club. Turn the subwoofers up, play this track ignorantly LOUD and enjoy. MMG!

For Ben to claim he’s all into EDM but still able to put me on to gems like this one is amazing. Probably one of the illest remixes of a Nas track I’ve heard in my life; South England’s own ManOnWire and DJ Ivan6 crafted an amazing mix of the classic Illmatic track ‘It Ain’t Hard To Tell.’ ManOnWire took the timeless lyrics from that track and blended them to perfection over The Blackbyrds ‘Mysterious Vibes’ and with DJ Ivan6 scratching and cutting the chorus, this is a remix that is a shoe-in for anyone’s hip-hop playlist. While chatting back and forth with ManOnWire he also informed me that he started a hip-hop collective, Pragmatic Theory, and just released their first project entitled Curtis The Beat Tape which you can download here. Arguably the most anticipated song on Nicki’s new album, Roman Reloaded, due out April 3rd. Although Nicki’s been a straight nutcase lately, she actually DELIVERS on this track; nothing Top 40 about this song right here. Her rhymes on ‘Champion’ are reminiscent of her rhymes back in 2009. This is Nicki in pure form, not just doing for radio singles and I applaud that because this is what we all have been waiting for, the real Nicki Minaj, no gimmicks. Besides her actually rapping like she used to, she enlisted the services of her YMCMB label mate Drake, ATL superstar Young Jeezy, and hip hop Legend Nas. ‘Champion’ is a very ill track, it will make a lot of people that started to give up hope on Nicki (including myself) believe that she can actually take it back to what she used to be. Regardless of my personal opinions and what I think of her music recently, I can’t front on this one. Just hit play and listen to an ill track. Enjoy.

The American dubstep juggernaut Skrillex has been dropping one of his new tracks titled ‘Rudeboy’ featuring reggae legend, Damian Marley, live at his shows lately. I haven’t been able to get my hands on a studio quality release yet, but this is the closest I could find. This version was ripped from SiriusXM Radio straight from Ultra Music Festival in Miami last weekend. Enjoy!

Southern California’s Haydn Hoffman is back at it again with another huge original mix that dropped last night on his Facebook page for free. Haydn has been extremely busy lately with his super dope Bootleg remix of Rihanna’s ‘You Da One’ dropping last month, along with an entire brand new Remix EP through Temple Music Group last week, and now this. Las Vegas dubstep artist TYR, who brought us his massive remix of ‘What Happens In Vegas’ last month for Chuckie’s remix competition is back again with another remix, this time taking on Big L’s classic track ‘MVP.’ Contrary to his previous bass-heavy dubstep remixes, TYR incorporates a groovy electronic vibe to bring this classic back to life in new light. I’ve heard rumors that a documentary is in the works titled Street Struck: The Big L Story, which is due to drop sometime this year, so watch out for that. In the mean time, kick back, turn up your speakers, and enjoy!

Summer is approaching; beaches, beautiful people in swimsuits, parties, vacations, and of course, new DJ Khaled singles. Say what you want about Khaled’s annoying voice, but he crafts the best summer ANTHEMS. ‘Take It To The Head’ is no different and features some of the hottest artists in the game right now including Rozay, Nicki, Wayne and Chris Brown. This one has #1 single written all over it, and when you hear it, you’ll know why. I can already see myself drunk in a club going crazy when this song drops. You already know how DJ Khaled singles ring off, i.e. ‘I’m On One.’ Unless you want to be lost when everybody’s screaming the chorus, hit the play button. I’ve been hearing about this Brooklyn-based rap duo for a while now. Their buzz has ben slowly but surely growing, and I heard their set at SXSW was crazy, so I’d like to introduce the TSS world to the Flatbush ZOMBIES. Consisting of Darko and Arc, the ZOMBIES are a group that I’m definitely going to be looking out for in the future. I’ve peeped some of their tracks and I’m proud to say that I can’t put them in any box, or group them in the same category as anyone else.
