Pop/dubstep sensation KDrew is back again with another tune after dropping a free 4 track EP on us just a couple weeks ago in Filthy Friday Vol. 50 properly titled Free EP Vol. 4. Normally when you see this man drop a new dubstep track, he’s the one producing it and singing the lyrics, but not today. Today KDrew sat behind the scenes and remixed Gotye’s world-renowned hit ‘Somebody That I Used To Know’ featuring Kimbra. By adding insane builds, massive dubstep drops, and grinding synths between lyrics, KDrew has produced a great edition to add to this song’s vast collection of remixes. This one will be dropping with KDrew Free EP Vol. 5 soon, so stay posted for that. Until then, kick back, turn up your speakers, and enjoy!

Kicks n Licks, a EDM duo consisting of Andy Joplin and Jerrod Jordan from a town just North of San Diego called Encinitas, sent me over their newest dubstep track yesterday titled ‘Time.’ This dynamic duo recently had 2 tracks from their debut EP, Way Too Loud, reach #5 in the dubstep charts and #11 on the glitch hop chart on BeatPort, so to show their appreciation, they’re letting loose this monstrous track ‘Time’ for free. Needless to say, this Southern California duo has shown that they’re not messing around, and that you should keep an eye out for them in 2012. Tommy Noble is an electronic dance music duo from Santa Barbara consisting of two young producers named Alex Quirk and Trevor Welch. These two have had a whirlwind year of success since they released their first tracks in Summer 2011, smashing the Beatport charts from the get go after a flurry of offers from dance music’s biggest labels. Up-and-coming 16 year old Los Angeles electro/dubstep producer Electrode seems to be sharpening his production with every new release over the past couple months. Deciding to team up with Canadian EDM producer Astrio, these two rising artists put their skills together and created a monster of a dubstep track titled ‘Octanis.’ Full of sounds from another universe, intriguing female lyrics, and nasty dubstep drops forewarned by screeching vocal sample, this original production set the bar for all future releases from these two. I know, I know. You’ve heard countless remixes of Avicii’s famous song ‘Levels,’ but how many times have you heard this song in reverse? Actually, how many songs have you heard that sound good in reverse? Well, Australian DJ/producer George Monev accomplished this feat a few days ago for us with his new edit of Avicii’s ‘Levels’ titled ‘Levels in Reverse.’ Does this sound better than the original? Texas dubstep producer Feature Cuts, who has brought out countless remixes over the past couple months, is back again with vengeance turning Kaskade’s happy progressive house tune, ‘Room for Happiness’ featuring lyricist Skylar Grey, into a menacing dubstep banger ready to rip through any speaker it comes across. Nastee N8 is an aspiring DJ/producer from up Canada, coming from a musical background in piano and guitar, Nate has evolved his passion for music into love affair with electronic music of all genres. I was stumbling around my Soundcloud dropbox a couple days ago and came across his dubstep remix of Continuum’s song titled ‘Heal.’ Nastee N8 accomapnies the original lyrics with a relentlessly sharp bassline and erie melodies to set the pace for this dubstep remix.
