I just got my hands on one of Skrillex’s newest releases named after my favorite city, and the city I currently reside in called ‘San Diego (VIP).’ Skrillex has performed countless times in San Diego over the past two years, even playing a show for $5 before his popularity skyrocketed at Voyeur Nightclub (pictured above) two summers ago. The last time I got a chance to catch him live was at Wavehouse San Diego this past summer where he probably performed the craziest stage dive of his career so far (pictured below) off the lighting rack about 25 feet above the crowd. Skrillex expresses how he feels about this beautiful city in ‘San Diego (VIP)’ with his signature voices, uplifting melodies, and a screaming bassline to top it off. As always, kick back, turn up your speakers, and enjoy!

I meant to post this a little earlier, but I guess my consistent lack of sleep caught up with me. Good evening! Stephane Lo Jacomo aka Fytch from The Netherlands is back again, this time remixing a classic track from Nina Simone called ‘Feeling Good.’ This is the first remix of this artist that I’ve ever heard, and I’d have to say, Fytch completely killed it. As always, kick back, turn up your speakers, and enjoy!

The boys from At Dawn We Rage are back again with a heavy drumstep edit of Midnight Conspiracy’s well-known head-banging song titled ‘Discord.’ These two waste no time jumping into this remix by relentlessly attacking your speakers with a menacing bassline right from the get-go. If you missed their last popular remix of Porter Robinson’s song ‘The Seconds’ featuring Jano, be sure to check that out next. In the mean time, kick back, turn up your speakers, and enjoy!

I was going to hold this track off until tomorrow, but I decided to let it go a little early. Wiz just missed the latest Dubstep Hip Hop Compilation series, but this track is definitely worth a post by itself. Red Mob is a Chicago crunkstep project recently formed by Lemi Vice & Mikul Wing of Midnight Conspiracy. These two turned Wiz Khalifa’s calm intro song ‘When I’m Gone’ from his debut album Rolling Papers into a HEAVY drumstep hip hop banger carrying enough bass to blowout your eardrums. If you’re digging this track, be sure to show Rob Mob some love and comment on their track. In the mean time, turn up your speakers and enjoy!

Eliot Lipp’s electronic music label, Old Tacoma Records, announced today that they will be releasing Ben Samples’ forthcoming full-length album, Malbec, on November 8, 2011. Malbec marks the second full-length release for Samples, who is already one of the fastest growing names in bass music. To promote the upcoming album, Samples has just released a free track called ‘Shadow Of Love,’ which features a funky vibe accompanied by soulful lyrics and another massive signature bassline. I’ve had a chance to preview the album, and I’d have to say, I was thoroughly impressed from start to finish; this will definitely be a album worth purchasing. Until then, kick back, turn up your speakers, and enjoy!
