It’s about that time of week again for me to drop some filth on your day with FILTHY FRIDAY #9! I know, it’s Saturday again. I didn’t get around to posting this yesterday because I was at Steve Aoki & Lupe Fiasco concert at SDSU. Steve Aoki dropped two new dubstep tracks that he recently produced; they were WILD. I couldn’t find any of them online today, but I’m stoked to hear them again when they’re released. Anyway, I have the new collaboration between Skrillex & Korn called ‘Get Up’ which is the first track to bridge the gap between metal & dubstep; we’ll call it Kornstep. I also have yet another remix of Britney Spear’s song ‘Till The World Ends,’ haha but this one is HEAVY. I threw in a couple more filthy hip hop tracks and a remix of Minnesota’s song ‘Bass Power.’ Turn up your speakers and enjoy FILTHY FRIDAY #9!

Rusko’s new track ‘Everyday’ has sparked tons of interest from different dubstep artists all over. You might remember when I showed you Netsky’s popular remix in Filthy Friday #6, but if you missed it, be sure to check that out too. Today, I have a different version of this track coming from an artist called Boyfriend who’s producing all the way out of Vilnius, Lithuania. I don’t know which remix I like between this and Netsky’s so I’ll leave it up to you to decide. Turn up your speakers and enjoy!

Minnesota, aka Christian Bauhofer, has just let yet another remix go for free on his Soundcloud account yesterday. This is his new BANGER dubstep hip hop remix of Gena’s song ‘My Dip In Da Club.’ Minnesota left Gena’s lyrics intact to keep the hip hop feel, but added a HEAVY bassline throughout the song to really get your speakers pounding. I’m hoping that more and more artists will start to bridge the gap between dubstep and hip hop because tracks like this are TOO SICK. If you missed Minnesota’s last tracks, be sure to check out his remix of Sander Van Doorn’s ‘XX Booty,’ his remix NiT GriT’s song ‘Babylon,’ and his BANGER remix of Biggie Smalls’ song ‘Juicy.’ Turn up your speakers and your bass because THIS SONG SLAPS!

Being that it’s a national holiday, 420, I thought I’d throw together a post in the holiday spirit for your listening pleasures. A couple artists dropped some tracks today just for 420 including Mac Miller, Mochipet, and Boogz Boogetz. Mochipet threw together a SICK 420 mashup combining hip hop, dubstep, electro, and reggae all into one track. I gathered most of the other tracks from past posts and my iTunes library. Mac Miller threw in the hilarious quote from the cop who ate weed brownies and called 911 saying that he was dying at the end of his song ’3Rd Dimension.’ High Times Magazine creative director, Steven Hager explains, “420 is a ritualization of cannabis use that holds deep meaning for our subculture. It also points us in a direction for the responsible use of cannabis.” That being said, I hope you have a productive day (haha) and enjoy all the holiday festivities!

Today I have a surprise for all you progressive house fans out there. I finally got my hands on a copy of Sander Van Doorn’s new progressive house single called ‘Koko’ which is set to be released on April 26th. This flute-like progressive house anthem will be destroying dance floors all summer so be sure to grab this tune. ‘Koko’ undoubtedly lives up to Sander Van Doorn’s prestigious name in electronic dance music. I also decided to throw in one of my favorite Sander Van Doorn tracks; his remix of The Killer’s song ‘Spaceman.’ Kick back, turn up your speakers, and enjoy!

High Rankin (aka Will Rankin) is a dubstep producer coming out of the UK. You may remember to back in December when I showcased his popular dubstep remix of Professor Green’s song ‘Jungle.’ “His music brims with character and personality that engulfs the listener as well as causing the obvious dance floor riot! He has an excellent mustache and will fight anyone who disagrees.” Haha, I’m definitely agreeing with him that he has an excellent mustache. Recently, he let his new melodic dubstep track go for free on his Soundcloud called ‘Digital Sex.’ This track doesn’t feature lyrics like his last track, but the quality of this work is definitely worth a post. Mac Miller is back at it again this time spitting over a classic beat belonging to the hip hop group known as People Under The Stairs. I’ve had the original version of ‘San Fransisco Knights’ in my library for years and it’s cool to hear Mac Miller bring new life to the track. Although the track is short, Mac Miller still displays his lyrical talents in a big way through his smooth flow and clever verses. I have a good feeling that 2011 is going to be a huge year for Mac if he keeps this up. If you missed his past tracks, be sure to check out his latest collaboration with Wale called ‘So What’ and his popular song off his latest mixtape called ‘Donald Trump.’ In the mean time, turn up your speakers and enjoy!

You might remember listening to The Bloody Beetroots’ popular electronic house remix of Britney Spear’s new song ‘Till The World Ends’ off of her most recent album, Femme Fatale, earlier last week. Today, I have a new remix of ‘Till The World Ends’ coming from DJ Kue, the producer who brought you the popular remix of Wiz Khalifa’s hit song ‘Black & Yellow.’ I know that this is a lot of Britney for one week, but I’m thinking that this remix passes up the quality of The Bloody Beatroots’ slightly with the energy-filled pounding baseline and added lyrics. Arion is a talented new name coming out of Toronto who has been rapidly rising within the dubstep and electro genres. Although only 18 years old, Arion has already proved his musical worth and is gaining tons of much deserved attention online for his recent productions. His official YouTube channel has received well over 2 million views and most have been in the past month. Today, I’m showing you two of his most popular remixes. The first is his remix of Dr. Dre’s song ‘I Need A Doctor’ featuring Eminem & Skylar Grey, and the second, is his dubstep remix is of Diddy’s song featuring Skylar Grey called ‘I’m Coming Home.’ If you like these tracks, be sure to “like” Arion on Facebook at the bottom of this post.
