Monday has rolled back around which means it’s time for another round of the weekly series; THE DAILY DOSE! Recently, California dubstep artist NiT GriT held a remix competition for his popular song ‘Babylon’ due to the huge number of other artists requesting him to endorse their music. This competition gave up-and-coming artists a chance to prove their musical worth to NiT GriT and to boost their career at the same time. Nine tracks made the final round of the competition and they were just released for free download. I picked my two favorite remixes of ‘Babylon’ coming from DubzILLa and Minnesota. DubzILLa produced an awesome dubstep remix that won the competition and Minnesota leaned more towards the drumstep genre but still did a great job with his remix. Butch Clancy released his dubstep remix of Band of Horses’ famous song ‘The Funeral’ about a week ago. I was debating posting the song for a Daily Dose, but I decided that it was too slow and didn’t have enough energy. Luckily, PeaceTreaty, the electro-house producers who brought you ‘Cal State Anthem’ came along and remixed Butch Clancy’s remix. PeaceTreaty left the slow progression of the song alone but let it lead into a hard-hitting dirty dutch sounding banger they call “big room house” music. Turn up your speakers and enjoy!

Lupe Fiasco is back on top of the charts with another hit off his album Lasers called ‘I Don’t Wanna Care Right Now’ featuring MDMA. Ever since he released his first single ‘The Show Goes On’ back in October, he started to build a ton of hype and anticipation around the release of his album which dropped on March 4th. A bunch of people claim that Lasers is hands down the best album that will be released this year, which is a bold statement to make this early in the year (esp. with Wiz Khalifa’s upcoming album!). However, I definitely will agree that Lasers is a great album full of skillfully crafted lyrics and well-produced beats. If you missed his other popular single, ‘Words I Never Said,’ be sure to check that out too. In the mean time, turn your speakers up and enjoy!

You probably remember back to The Daily Dose #12 when I posted Ben Sample’s popular dubstep bootleg of Adele’s folkish track ‘Rolling In The Deep.’ Well, recently Samples decided to take a another run at his bootleg with this new VIP dubstep remix. Samples mentioned that this VIP remix is “1000x” heavier than the original. You can hear that this remix has a deeper churning, scratchier baseline that will definitely get the crowds moving at his shows. Which version do you like better? A rough remixed version of Kanye West’s hit song ‘All Of The Lights’ has just been released with added verses from Lil Wayne, Big Sean, and Drake. According to a couple different sources, the finished final cut is going to have a couple added verses from different artists including J. Cole. ‘All Of The Lights,’ coming off of Kanye’s latest album, My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy, is an EPIC track that has gained tons of attention all over the music and film industry. He has consistently been crafting dancefloor destroyers that have received massive support from prominent DJ’s around the world. This is the first time I’ve featured Bart B More’s music on TSS, and you’ll hear why he’s been gaining such a tremendous amount of support in the electronic music industry.
