James Jacob aka ‘Jakwob’ has seen his promising music career take off in the last couple months. First starting to become well known through some major positive reception in the blog world for his bootleg of Ellie Goulding’s song ‘Starry Eyed.’ Hailing from the Midlands, Jakwob is a multi-instrumentalist who played in many bands through his teens starting with jazz then moving on to play death metal and folk music. This goes a long way to explaining his style, which mix genres combining elements of dub step, electro, ghetto-tech and break-beat to name a few. Today, I have Jakwob’s remix of Tiesto & Diplo’s song ‘C’mon (Catch ‘Em By Surprise)’ featuring Busta Rhymes on the rapping. Jakwob reworked the original beat slowing it down and producing a more mellow atmosphere which fits Busta Rhymes’ lyrics perfectly. Kick back, turn up your speakers, and enjoy!

Monday is here and it’s time to start this week with the fourth week of The Daily Dose. Today’s dose is a remix of Skrillex’s song ‘Scary Monsters And Nice Sprites’ coming from Blastaguyz. Blastaguyz is an Italian duo that was born in 2009 and is made up of Andrea Venturi & Denis Martinelli. They’re known to dip into several different genres in their productions including maximal, electro, nu Disco, fidget, and even some dubstep. By blending these different styles together into their tracks, Blastaguyz produces catchy and unique sounding music that can’t be easily replicated. I really like what they did with Skrillex’s voices from the original song. If you like this track, be sure to “like” Blastaguyz on Facebook at the bottom of this post. Turn up your speakers and enjoy today’s Daily Dose!

Hailing from North Carolina, 18-year-old Porter Robinson had never set foot inside a nightclub when his hit ‘Say My Name’ shot to the number one spot on Beatport’s Electro-House chart. His uniquely complex style has earned him recognition from big-name producers all over the world. Some people refer to Porter Robinson as a prodigy, but most think that this undermines his years of experience and quality of work. Porter Robinson blends many different styles of music including massive electro hooks followed by nasty dubstep wobbles and trance breakdowns to form some hard-hitting house music. Today, I have his remix of Innerpartysystem’s song ‘American Trash,’ which includes all these unique sounds that Porter Robinson has made everyone come to love. Turn your speakers up and enjoy this new remix!

The second track is coming to you from an artist named Vaski who remixed Darude’s classic song ‘Sandstorm’ into a filthy banger. Finally, the last track ‘Heavy,’ was produced by Chase & Status and features Dizzee Rascal on the vocals; it’s HEAVY to say the least. Turn your speakers up and enjoy the first FILTHY FRIDAY!

The weekend is finally here and it’s time to rage so play this at your parties tonight. It’s been awhile since I’ve had a Sidney Samson dirty dutch banger up on TSS, so here’s his remix of Lil Jon’s song ‘Outta Your Mind’ featuring LMFAO. ‘Outa Your Mind’ was released on March 23, 2010 as the fifth promotional single for Lil Jon’s album ‘Crunk Rock.’ It peaked at number 28 on Billboard’s Rap Digital Songs chart after the release. Since then, there’s been tons of remixes of this song by a bunch of big name artists, but I think Sidney Samson’s is the best one I’ve heard so far. He turned this track into an energy-filled, high-pace dirty dutch BANGER that could get any party bouncing. Turn up your speakers GET OUTTA YOUR MIND!

It’s time to get your day started with today’s Daily Dose so turn up your speakers for this new BANGER remix. Adele’s second album, 21, was released on January 24th in the UK. The first single released from the album ‘Rolling in the Deep’, described by Adele as a “dark bluesy gospel disco tune”, was released in late 2010. Ben Samples, hailing out of the Colorado area, just released his rendition of ‘Rolling In The Deep’ with this banger bootleg remix. There’s something really catchy about remixed folk songs like this; there’s no way you can’t vibe to this track. If you haven’t checked out Whole-Z’s remix of Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zero’s folk song ‘Home’ be sure to check that out because it was one of the most downloaded tracks when I posted it three months ago. In the mean time, turn up your speakers for today’s Daily Dose!

Here’s the FIRST single released from The Cool Kids called ‘Bundle Up,’ which was released just a couple hours ago. The Cool Kids, coming out of the Chicago area, is the duo of Mikey Rocks aka Antoine Reed and Chuck Inglish aka Evan Ingersoll. This track is the first track off of the upcoming debut album, ‘When Fish Ride Bicycles,’ that was supposed to be released way back in 2008. The album is expected to drop this sometime soon this Spring so watch out for that. ‘Bundle Up’ has a sick beat with some HEAVY bass that has the potential to blow your speakers or eardrums out. Turn up your bass because THIS SONG SLAPS!

Today’s Daily Dose is coming at you from a new up-and-coming dubstep artist called Gemini who just released his first EP ‘Blue’ a couple days ago. This track, coincidentally also named ‘Blue,’ is the smash hit off of his new EP. ‘Blue’ leads into the track with a deep baseline and some uplifting melodies before introducing you to the HEAVY dubstep drop. The lyrics compliment this track perfectly to add a darker ambiance. Turn up your speakers and enjoy today’s Daily Dose!

Chromeo is a duo composed of P-Thugg aka Patrick Gemayel on keyboards, synthesizers, and talk box, and Dave 1 aka David Macklovitch on guitar and lead vocals. The two childhood friends jokingly describe themselves as “the only successful Arab/Jewish partnership since the dawn of human culture” haha. Oliver remixed Chromeo’s hit song ‘Hot Mess’ into a dance floor bomb that could definitely get some partys moving with its minimal yet funky style. You may separately know the names Vaughn “U-Tern” Oliver and Oliver “Oligee” Goldstein, but now you can know them as one duo, simply known as Oliver because both of them have Oliver in their names. Duck Sauce remixed this track awhile back, but I think Oliver’s tops it with their level of funk. Turn up your speakers and enjoy!

I’m proud to announce that The Daily Dose has reached double digits with #10 coming at you right now! Today’s dose is a BANGER drum n bass dubstep remix coming from Bare Noize who remixed Tinie Tempah’s new hit ‘Wonderman’ featuring Ellie Goulding. Tinie Tempah and Ellie Goulding performed ‘Wonderman’ at the BRIT Awards launch, where he nominated across four different award categories including the British Breakthrough Artist, British Single for Pass Out, British Male Solo Artist and the Mastercard British Album of the Year. Clearly, Tinie has earned his titled of the most popular artist in British music right now. The original track is cool, but this is The Daily Dose, so you know there’s going to be some bass coming along with it. The UK trio Bare Noize, consisting of James Dent, Daniel Brown & Ollie Pile, did an awesome job blending this track with some HEAVY BASS. Turn up your speakers and enjoy today’s dose!
